In 1977, Curtis C. and Judith A. Rudy opened the Wisconsin Division of Landgraf's LTD. In 1984, they purchased the Division and changed the company name to CJ & Associates, Inc.

In January 2004, CJ & Associates became a woman owned and operated business with the appointment of Kim Hastings as President of the company. Now, CJ provides quality products and services as well as helps companies meet their diversity supplier objectives.

In February 2004, CJ & Associates established a Government Sales Division to meet federal, state and local government contract furniture needs.

CJ & Associates, Inc. offers carefully chosen products, state certified designers, manufacturers authorized installers and 24-hour service. CJ & Associates, Inc. has 30 dedicated staff members, 44,000 sq. ft. of facilities and a fleet of trucks that make it possible to offer the cutting edge in design, products and services to Southeastern Wisconsin.

Important Dates

  • 1984   CJ & Associates opens its doors on April 1 at Cleveland Avenue, New Berlin.
  • 1988   The company moves into new facilities at Victor Road, New Berlin.
  • 1991   CJ and Associates is incorporated.
  • 1993   CJ expanded into Dane county with its Madison sales and service facility.
  • 2000   Expands corporate headquarters by 12,000 square feet.
  • 2002   Develops an A&D Division to consult with the architect and design community.
  • 2004   Becomes woman owned and operated with the appointment of Kim Hastings
              as President.
  • 2005   Establishes a Government Sales Division to meet government contract furniture
              needs.
  • 2006   Establishes an Interior Construction and Remodeling Division.
  • 2007   Kim Hastings becomes founding member of the American Heart Association’s “Circle
              of Red” which works to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke.
  • 2007   CJ & Associates named one of Top 25 Largest Women-Owned Businesses in
              Wisconsin, a 2007 Top Milwaukee Workplace and selected to the Metropolitan
              Milwaukee Association of Commerce Council of Small Business Executives Future
              50 List.
  • 2007   Kim Hastings named a Woman of Influence.
  • 2007   Chosen as the interior furnishings supplier for the new Harley Davidson Museum.
  • 2007   Completes remodel of company headquarters, which doubles as a working showcase
              of products and services.
  • 2008   For the second year in a row, CJ & Associates named a 2008 Top Milwaukee
              Workplace and selected to the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce
              Council of Small Business Executives Future 50 List.
